“My child should scale the lofty peaks of success and also be obedient, hard-working and endowed with all good qualities” is the desire of every parent. The good qualities of a student depend on the parents, the environment in which the student lives and grows up, the school or college, and friends and peers. Together these shape the student’s personality. Even when a student has every favourable condition, two more things matter most: the student’s own will power, and the will of parents and teachers to help the student reach the desired goal.
Today many parents, because of their own problems, cannot give complete attention to their children. There are many private schools, but very few can inculcate good qualities, and the surroundings of many students are affected by addiction and indulgence. Taking into consideration this dilemma of today’s parents, and with the holy blessings of Vishwatmak Om Gurudev, we are working in the form of Atma Malik Educational and Sports Complex to create ideal students.
I feel honoured to be part of Vishwatmak Jangli Maharaj Ashram Trust (VJMAT) and to serve in the field of education. In ancient times the Gurukul system prevailed in India. Sadguru Om Gurudev emphasises the Gurukul system integrated with regular meditation, so that students lead a stress-free life and realise the Self (Atma). VJMAT started its educational institutions in 1995 and has crossed new milestones year after year, with about 11,000 students in 14 schools and colleges and a faculty of more than 500, in Maharashtra, Gujarat and Karnataka.
We wish to prepare our students for competitive exams so that they meet the challenges of the world with excellence. It is our Sadguru Om Gurudev’s wish that the facilities available to students in urban areas should be available to rural students too, at reasonable rates, so that even a middle-class family can dream of the best for its children.
We have started a foundation course for students of Std XI and XII so that they can crack NEET, MHT-CET (Engineering) and JEE Main with full confidence. This saves our rural students from migrating to towns and cities. A unique feature of our college is academic teaching together with coaching from a professional coaching institute.
Om Gurudev Uchcha Madhyamik Gurukul aims to excel in the ever-expanding horizon of science and technology with a mix of modernity and tradition. We want our students to develop discipline, honesty, creativity, integrity, imagination, perseverance, self-confidence, endurance, clarity of thought and command over communication skills, and to excel in academics, co-curricular activities, sports, and spirituality and meditation. In the 21st century our country is moving forward with pride on the world stage, thanks to the revolution in education since independence. Every section of society now understands the importance of education; through it, a person progresses and so does the nation. This awareness has brought tremendous competition and a new era of competitive exams, and with it heavy mental strain on students.
To overcome this strain and taste success, students need sound teaching together with good moral values, self-realisation, controlled breathing and meditation. Keeping these needs in mind, with the holy blessings of Om Gurudev Mauli and under the guidance of Hon. Shri Nandkumar Suryawanshi, President, VJMAT, we conduct science guidance and training for all medical and engineering entrance exams for students of Std XI and XII.
Students are taught the Board syllabus along with the syllabus of the competitive exams in a pure, sacred and meditative atmosphere. A well-equipped library, study rooms, hostel and vegetarian mess under one roof save their time and effort, and meditation and controlled breathing improve memory and concentration. Wise parents, considering all these aspects, have given a tremendous response.
